Writing for the Bosendorfer 290SE Reproducing Piano [Alan Frederick Shockley]
This piano in particular, as a Bosendorfer 290SE reproducing piano, is an interesting combination of technologies. It is first (at least first in my mind) a piano. But this piano is quite different from the legless, small-voiced wonder in Cristofori's workshop. It is a nine-and-a-half-foot concert grand piano, with a player piano "under the hood."
