MINIX information sheet
- MINIX is a free UNIX clone that is available with all the source code. Due to its small size, microkernel-based design,
and ample documentation, it is well suited to people who want to run a UNIX-like system on their personal computer
and learn about how such systems work inside. It is quite feasible for a person unfamiliar with operating system
internals to understand nearly the entire system with a few months of use and study.

Al Woodhull's Minix Website
- Minix is an operating system developed for educational purposes. To the user Minix looks like Unix, but on the
inside it is built with a modern modular micro kernel architecture. Minix is not just a toy, it is a useful operating
system. This site is a demonstration of that; it is a web and ftp server running the 32-bit Intel version of Minix 2.0.2.
The latest available version is 2.0.3.
